Machete- Beautifully bloody!

You have a ugly stonefaced guy who chops almost anything which comes in his way, have sex with every possible hottie he sees and does bungee jumping on his enemy's intestine! You still aint satisfied?

Machete, a new B grade installment from Rodriguez's production, takes the slasher movies to a new low level. You have a Ex-Mexican Federale who's wife and daughter are murdered by a drug lord when he's on a mission. Alone, angry and savaged, he comes to Texas where he's given a job to kill the Anti-Immigration senator by Mr. BOOTH (played by Jeff Haley). And like the trailer says," Doublecrossed....and left for dead!" Then he goes on beheading every living thing around him till the end. Other than that we have Jessica Alba as a immigration Officer, Michelle Rodriguez as a underground network head, Steven Seagal as a Mexican druglord, Robert DeNiro as Senator and Lindsay Lohan as a drug addict ( A role completely inspired from her real life).

Machete is a beautiful bloody-disgusting fun with non-stop hilarious action. You have gallons of fake blood splashing, fake body parts flying and people killing each other like some slaughter festival. Cheap sex scenes with the leads would have made it more interesting. Apart from Trejo's dead performance, which ironically makes him look good on screen, I really liked Robert DeNiro as a witty anti-Mexican senator. Weird but cheesy music makes it way to funny and stylish at a same time. It's incredibly over the top, explosive, ridiculous and just flat-out enjoyable.A pure blood and guts action flick with lots of gun-battles, severed heads, severed limns, knifes being thrown and just hysterical chaos. Rodriguez once again brings on an outrageous exercise of his talents to life and does it his way.

My Advice, keep yourself away from all the knives atleast for a day after watching this one or you'll end up chopping someone's head!

My Rating- 4 out of 5.

    1. " like a some slaughter festival"..."a" not required here...
    2. "who's wife and daughter are murdered" will be the correct sentence.
